Who We Are
Our Story & Mission
Lillette’s Foundation for the Arts Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2004 by renowned concert pianist and humanitarian Lillette Jenkins-Wisner and her immediate family. The original purpose was to assist funding students who were pursuing musical education and music career opportunities.
Since Lillette’s passing in August 2020 from Vascular Dementia, the family has focused on a new mission. In association with Harris & Harris Productions LLC, Lillette’s Foundation for the Arts Inc. now focuses on producing stage musicals and special events. These shows/events support nonprofit humanitarian causes.
Lillette’s two daughters Adrienne Lillette Harris and Michele Harris-Carter are spearheading the operation. A few of the shows are based on their mother’s legendary life in music. All shows are entertaining and historically informative.
“Born to Swing” is a stage musical being developed as a film based on the life of the founder — renowned concert pianist and humanitarian Lillette Harris, later known as Lillette Jenkins-Wisner.
